Evaluating the Dog-and-Handler Team

Not every dog is suited for service work, and honest evaluation protects both the dog and the handler. We consider temperament, health, age, recovery from stress, environmental confidence, trainability, and the demands of the intended work. After meeting the team and discussing the handler’s needs, we provide practical guidance about appropriate next steps.
